Lemon Poppy Cake
An ultra soft cake that combines the scent of lemon with the crunch of poppy seeds.

💥230g of butter
💥380g of flour
💥2 lemon zest
💥2cases of poppy seed
💥235g heavy whole cream
💥200g of sugar
💥1 bag of baking powder
💥 1 pinch of salt

💥150ml lemon juice
💥150g of sugar
💥30ml of water

✔ PREPARATION OF THE CAKE
♦️ ️ Work the butter and sugar for 4min
♦️ ️Add the eggs 1 by 1 and mix
♦️ ️ Add the lemon zest to the flour ♦ ♦ add the cream, alternating between flour and cream
♦️ ️ add the baking powder + poppy seeds finish with 2 tbsp of lemon juice
♦️ ️Bake at 160 for 1 hour depending on your oven.
✔ SYRUP PREPARATION
♦️ ️Mix 150ml of lemon juice and 150g of sugar + water and heat until simmering and forming syrup.
♦️ Make small holes on the surface of the cake, then Spread the syrup on the cake.
♦️ ️The syrup will penetrate the holes, which will give the cake an even more pronounced lemon taste.
✔ GLAZING PREPARATION
♦️ ️Mix together the lemon juice and sugar.
♦️ ️ the icing must be thick enough.
Arrange the frosting on the cooled cake.
